There are 3 options to request your ITIN number
In person
Apply for an ITIN in person using the services of a Certifying Acceptance Agent, authorized by the IRS. This will save you from having to mail documents proving your identity and foreign status.
Get assistance
Make an appointment at an IRS-designated Taxpayer Assistance Center. This will also save you from having to mail documents proving your identity and foreign status.
After processing, the IRS will issue your ITIN and mail it to you.
